Your Story Matters
What chapter of life can I help you navigate?
-
Our time together is shaped by you. Some areas of concern may be (but not limited to): depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, identity and self-esteem, self-care, spirituality, birth trauma, post abortion trauma.

Relationship with others is a beautiful necessity and yet as a couple it can too often be riddled with hardship and disconnection. Sometimes it's not what you thought or ever hoped for. Wherever you find yourself in your story, therapy can help, whether you want to tweak a few areas and strengthen your relationship further or need help to salvage your relationship, therapy is a worthwhile investment. Some areas of concern may be (but not limited to): relationship conflict and communication, lack of connection and sexual intimacy.

Many personalities and complexities define a family. I am here to help you build strong connections, heal hurts and find a way through. Some areas of concern may be (but not limited to): Neurodiversity in the family (children or parents), blended families, grief and parenting at all ages and stages
Some chapters of our lives are hard to live through, some are seemingly impossible to think back on and others are hard to even acknowledge. Sometimes our stories are so complex that it feels difficult to find a space safe enough to share the vulnerable, challenging or hidden parts of our lives and challenging to find a non-judgemental listener. As a psychotherapist, it is a privilege to walk alongside clients who are hoping for change in their lives and relationships. I am a trauma-informed systemic psychotherapist with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and therefore understand the dynamics of marital, parental and family relationships. I work collaboratively with clients to understand their inner strengths and resources but, as in any story, I believe that our people, culture and context shape us and are integral to understanding who each of us have become and informs the path to health and wholeness individually, as a couple or family.
Amanda Adamson MA MFT, BACP
I have been married for almost twenty years and have five children, so I know that life can come with many unforeseen challenges. I have seen first hand the effect of trauma on family, experienced the impact of neurodiversity within the family and continue to be amazed by the resiliency of people in the face of hardship and difficulty. I look back at my own ability to be resilient in the most difficult chapters of my life and realize I did not do it alone. I needed people to champion me forward, I needed them in my healing journey and know very well that it takes a village to raise children. I know that we don’t all have the support we need but I am here to help you, to collaborate a unique form of therapy tailored for you.
